The Freight Yard Terrain Stretch Goal is finally live and ready for download!

This stretch goal has been my most ambitious project yet, blending six distinct terrain pieces into one cohesive and epic set. From the intricate design of the Crawler Crane, which ended up being even more complex than the Core WarEngines, to the modular flexibility of the Gas Spheres, I’ve poured everything into making these pieces not just functional but truly unique.
I wanted each terrain piece to feel dynamic, interactive, and engaging—far beyond the traditional static terrain you might be used to. These components are packed with creative gameplay opportunities and modular options designed to inspire new strategies and setups. All files are now available for Kickstarter backers.

Crawler Crane:
A new workhorse for your battlefield. With functional treads and wheels, a 360-degree rotating base, and an operational crane arm featuring a pulley, extendable boom, and working hook, this piece is as versatile as it is detailed. Features like a retractable ladder, outer walkway, functional cab door, and removable roof add to its realism, along with intricate control panels and hinged window shutters.

Gas Sphere:
Bring an industrial powerhouse to your game table. This towering spherical tank is surrounded by a radial walkway, perfect for 32mm based miniatures. Its modular design includes straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree walkways, letting you create an interconnected industrial layout.

Large Container:
Simplicity meets functionality. This container prints fully assembled (minus the stacking feet) with double doors on both ends. It’s designed for vertical stacking, with lifting hook points and a spreader beam for precision placement.

Track Switch: A game-changer for track layouts, this piece integrates seamlessly with the QuickTrack and Classic Track systems. With its sleek, tech-inspired design and Shallow Cow Catchers for smooth clearance, it enhances the Grimdark Freight Yard’s versatility.

Print-In-Place Silo:
This terrain prints as a single piece, with no assembly required. It features a functional spiral staircase for miniature movement and includes an optional mini silo. Use it as filler terrain or stack it on the main silo for extra height and cover.

Gantry Crane:
The centerpiece of this collection, the Gantry Crane spans two sets of parallel tracks with an elevated walkway for miniatures. A functional trolley allows for moving cargo across tracks, and ladders provide access to elevated positions.
I truly appreciate everyone’s patience as I worked to perfect this stretch goal. While it took a little longer than expected, I hope the final result exceeds your expectations!
Thank you for your amazing support! Enjoy the Freight Yard Terrain, and feel free to share your feedback!
Hi Cassidy,
I'm just loading up the gantry crane for printing and the chain file mentioned '17C' isn't in the folder? Does it use the same chain as the crawler crane?
Thanks
